Cons: Flimsy lens hood,
Pros: Everything else. Optics, handling, build quality, focus speed, mf clutch, close up performance.
Summary: Hands down the best standard zoom in the entire M4/3 system. 12-60/2.8-4.0 PL gets close, but not quite there.

Cons: Somewhat large and heavy (for m43). Not cheap, but less than comparable FF lenses.
Pros: Sharp wide open at all focal lengths. Very good build quality, but not quite up to Canon \"L\" lenses.
Summary: Real simple, it is sharp at all focal lengths and from F2.8 to around f10. My Oly 45mm f1.8 is somewhat sharper and may render better than this zoom, but it is on my EM-5 most of the time. It is the sharpest standard zoom I have ever used (including Canon \"L\" lenses).

Cons: Haven't found cons
Pros: How many times can I say sharp, fast focusing, versatile lens
Summary: After shooting with this lens and my PEN F setup I'm impressed and this coming from FF Nikon D5 user I went for the "lighter" for vacations but I find myself picking it up for shoots at time I'm hooked

Cons: Work with bright light sources in the frame. If you have bright light sources in the frame (e.g. candles at night) they cause annoying ghosting and flares. I hate this this behavior in the dark. In daylight it is usually acceptable. But in the dark with one or more bright light sources inside the frame...
Pros: - perfect size and weight for my E-M1 - sharp (I have never noticed the tested weakness in resolution at 40mm in real world) - fast AF - water resistant (after about one hour in moderate rain and humidity at about 100% the lens became foggy from the inside and after half an hour in my bag it was ok again) - f2.8 and very usefull focal length, my walk around lens - manual focus clutch (you can easily set the focus to infinity) - nice built quality, but not as good as Olympus 40-150 f2.8
Summary: I like this lens as my walk around lens. It is light and fun to use. Great package with the E-M1. Optically it is mostly good apart from the issue with ghosting and flares.

Cons: Don't find anything.
Pros: Optical quality very good. Mechanics very good. Almost a macro with up to 1:3.2 ratio Splashwater and dust proof
Summary: A very good choice for E-M1, E-M5 and E-M10 in my opinion. May be too heavy/large for PENs.
