Viltrox AF 55 mm f/1.8 EVO
1. Introduction
Then there was a gap of several years in Viltrox launches in this category of equipment, and it stopped in February 2025 with the shapely 2/50 Air series instrument. Not long afterward, in October 2025, this offer was enlarged by the classic Viltrox AF 50 mm f/1.4 Pro. This one fared in our test perfectly well. Several months later, in April 2026, Viltrox showed us the AF 55 mm f/1.8 EVO model, which looks like a fully-fledged successor of the 1.8/50 lens from 2020. The new model seemed very interesting and we decided to take a closer look.
