Cons: Some of the great character of the v1 has been softened a bit but. There still is some distortion (around 2% versus 3% for the v1).
Pros: Plane of focus vastly impoved, so sharpness consistancy too ! A 35mm 1.4 of this size is absolutely stunning. Great wide open character, great sharpness all across the field @ f4.
Summary: I love love love this lens. For a Leica M body, its size / performance / price ratio is absolutely gorgeous.
