Owners reviews (1)

Overall
Owner since: 1 year
Price: $950
User profile: Professional
Cons: Heavy and long (obstructs part of the viewfinder used with a Leica M) but less son than version II of the same lens. Not as sharp in the corners as a Summilux or Summicron ash. or APO of course (but not quite the same price). Lens-shade not included (Voigtlander lens-shade > $100 !!!).
Pros: Extremely well-built and sturdy lens (metal and 2 aspherical lenses compared to the previous version that had only one). A re-designed and improved version of the V. II: more compact and less heavy. A little soft in the corners at f 1.4 and 2 but improves after that. More contrast than the TT Artisan 35 mm f 1.2.
Summary: Excellent alternative to a costlier Summilux (it in fact looks sharper than the previous generation of Summiluxes that still sell far more used than a brand new Voigtlander V.III. [One can also consider the V. II slightly cheaper but heavier and bulkier]
