Cons: A lens that needs to be on a tripod/monopod if used all day due to weight. Not supplied with a bag but a hardcase. Bag would be more useful. Bought a Manfrotto pro light TLB-600 which holds body on lens perfectly. Expensive lens to buy but much cheaper than Mk11 version.
Pros: Build quality, sharpness/contrast all excellent, easy to use. Delivers stunning pictures that are pin sharp.
Summary: Used mainly for motorsport and occasional wildlife. Used on a 7D Mk2 gives me 800mm or my 5D Mk2 straight or with 1.4 x extender 700mm, all give excellent results. Maybe me, but can't yet get the same results with a 2.0 x extender. If you can afford this lens go for it, have other excellent lenses but this one's brilliant !!

Cons: Heavy Expensive (you get what you pay for) Slight imbalance (front heavy), tripod collar should be positioned more to the front of the lens
Pros: Very good image quality wide open Fast autofocus Excellent build quality Very good image stabilizer Useful with tele-extenders Really nice functions: AF stop buttons, Focus memory & limiter
Summary: An excellent super-telephoto lens with great image quality, very good IS, fast autofocus and excellent build quality, quite heavy though and pretty expensive (but version 2 costs almost twice as much).
