Overall
Owner since: 3 months
Price: $6000
User profile: Semipro
Cons: No loop on the lens for a shoulder strap. Focus with 2x seems to have a delay, but once it finds a target is it lightening fast. A fair amount of vignetting. $400+ for a CPL adapter? This lens would be even better if it had a built-in 1.4x TC and supported an external TC.
Pros: Weight is awesome, light enough to use all day. Focus with 1.4x is fast and accurate. If you are in the focal range of a BIF, using a 2x TC, you are sweet, otherwise you will likely miss it. Super sharp, even with a 2x TC. Sharper than my 100-400 GM, and 200-600 G. A blast to use!
Summary: Currently, my favorite lens.
