The Pentax 2.8/40 LTD had a significant vignetting level. How does the 50 mm fare here? You can say : not very well but distinctly better. By f/1.4 the light fall-off in the frame corners amounts to 23% (-0.75 EV) and on stopping down to f/2.0 it decreases to 12%. This aberration is reduced to an imperceptible level by f/2.8, where it is just 7%.
