Two lenses our Readers ask after the most often are 50 mm and 35 mm primes. In fact every system offers such instruments as they count among classics - our equipment bag would look simply half empty without them.

When it comes to the most popular systems, we’ve already tested almost all 50 mm lenses. There’s still some number of 35 mm devices to catch up, though. Small wonder we started to get interested in a classic from Pentax so the smc FA 35 mm f/2.0 AL lens. It is very popular as its price is acceptable, its optical properties, as described by the users, good and its dimensions – small. In such a case we couldn’t wait any longer with publishing the test of this instrument. Happy reading!
