6. Distortion

Even quite expensive kit substitutes can have high distortion level, especially at wide angle. The better presents itself the Leica 14-50 mm in this category, having at 14 mm the distortion level of –2.4%. With the increase of the focal length we might stop worrying about any deformations. At 25 mm they will decrease to –0.33% and at 50 mm – to 0.12%. Once again the tested lens should be praised for its performance.
