Nikon Nikkor AF 80-200 mm f/2.8D ED

6. Distortion

In this class of equipment geometrical defects are never a problem and such is the situation with the Nikkor. At 80 mm focal length we noticed a slight barrel distortion of -0.18%. At 135 mm it changes into pincushion distortion and is at a virtually invisible level of 0.58%. At 200 mm focal length, the defect is visible but still not problematic, as it reaches just 0.88%.
