Overall
Owner since: 5 years
Price: 30€
User profile: Semipro
Cons: extremely loud focusing (more than twice as loud as 50mm 1.8 II) and quite slow, no IS, not really sharp, plastic mount, 85cm closest focusing distance
Pros: nice zoom range when a wide angle is not needed ("holiday photography"), actually there are lenses that feel less robust
Summary: Well - it's absolutely cheap. Combine it with an old body (EOS D60 or 10D) and you don't really have to care about it when doing silly stuff like climbing with a camera around your neck.
