It is clear that, with negligible pincushion distortion amounting to just +0.17% on the APS-C/DX sensor and +0.27% on full frame, the Samyang fares the best in the class of 1.2/85 lenses. If you add 1.4/85 models to that group you see that some of them, especially these newer ones, could have had better results. It’s worth emphasizing, though, that this victory is just theoretical and looks well only in a chart. Distortion levels presented by the tested Samyang and its rivals are so low that they remain unnoticeably in real life photos anyway. Still the tested lens should be praised for its performance in this category.
