At the beginning it's worth noticing that in this category the Tamron's task was really hard. After all it does feature 12 optical groups so 24 air-to-glass surfaces; apart from that it offers a wide, changeable angle of view and a quite big front element, not sheltered by anything.
Despite the fact that the standards were raised so high here the Tamron managed to perform very well – in fact, in this category it can be an example to follow. We haven't seen such a good performance of an optically complex zoom lens for a very long time. A round of applause!
