Cons: Poor bokeh and mediocre wide-open sharpness. The combination of these two factors makes wide-open subject-background separation poor; if you're looking for a normal-ish street/group portrait lens for professional work, look elsewhere. Strong field curvature towards the near corners wide open, IF that is a problem for your specific use case scenario. Plasticky build with a focus ring that feels terribly cheap

Pros: For the advanced amateur or semi-pro who ISN'T a bokeh fanatic and doesn't need to shoot in super-low light at this focal length, OR for the street shooter who functions at f/2.8 most of the time and doesn't require pixel-level sharpness, this lens probably offers the best bang for the buck right now. Sharpness at long distances* or from f/2.8 and up is essentially equal to big names like the Sigma 35mm ART. Chromatic aberration isn't, but that's less of a problem. Vignetting isn't bothersome at all past f/2.2-2.5. The lens is small and light* with fewer autofocus inconsistencies than the Sigma ART and faster autofocus than the Nikon 35mm f/1.4G. There is no focus shift on stopping down or at different focus distances. *landscape shooters might actually like this, plus the small filter size means less money spent!

Summary: NOT a wedding/portrait lens. Good street/travel/event casual landscape lens. Good general-purpose lens for those on a budget or who have less rarefied tastes to begin with, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, by the way. Of course everything said in this paragraph is generalizing, but that's the purpose of a 'summary' anyway!

Cons: cant match with the 1,8 85mm/G. Much bigger than the old 2,0/35D

    Pros: fast AF,

Summary: I am disappointed of that lens
