Cons: Not a very forgiving lens - you need to work hard to get really good results.
Pros: Lot of lens for the money (I paid a lot more than other reviewers but I paid in AUD - we get ripped of for techno stuff in Oz).
Summary: I've sot some amazing shots with this lens but it certainly isn't point and shoot... you need the right conditions to see true awesomeness.

Cons: A very "sensor-sensitive" lens. For example - on the Sony A580, it delivers stunning sharpness. On the A-77, it struggles to focus - even at the same settings. Very poor low-light performance. Very narrow sharpness range.
Pros: Sharp at f9, best at f14 and ok till f18. Durable construction - mine has taken quite a severe hammering given that I operate mostly in the agricultural and mining industries.
Summary: A very difficult lens that requires a lot of practice. it is essential to use a tripod - and make sure that it is very stable. Highly recommend that an external trigger/remote is used at all times.
