Cons: Given the price of this lens there really are no caveats

Pros: This lens is far sharper than one would expect for a lens in this price category. I use it on the Nikon Z7 which is a very demanding 45.4mp camera. This lens is quite sharp wide open, even at 300mm focal length. Of course the best lenses Nikon makes are sharper but not by that much. I am constantly amazed at the image quality. I keep thinking, how can a lens that only costs $550 be that good? But it is.

Summary: This is the lens you can always take. It is only 1.5# weight and relatively compact. As long as you have decent light, this lens will look almost as good as Nikon\'s $10.000 offerings. And lets, face it, most of the time the lighting is decent enough.
