Overall
Owner since: more than 10 years
Price:
User profile: Amateur
Cons: Needs to be stopped down to deliver top notch results. The bokeh is not great, could be bit harsh. (The equally old Nikkor 35/f2 is definitely better in this aspect.)
Pros: Build like a tank. Stopped down a bit it becomes an extremely sharp lens with great resolving power.
Summary: Great lens for landscape shooters. It is so sharp that there is hardly other lens offering similar results. The colour rendition is also very good.

Price: € 10
User profile: Professional
Cons: Soft at f1.4 Color rendering (I own an Ais converted pre-Ais version)
Pros: Build quality Very sharp at f5.6 (the sweet spot)
Summary: With lenscolormanagement systems the 'strange' color rendering of the pre-Ais lens can corrected with ease. When I bought this lens it's previous owner used it professional and I still use it with pleasure.
