9. Ghosting and flares

The Tokina construction, already a bit aged, is not optimized to work with digital reflex cameras when it comes to anti-reflection coatings. What was ok in the case of a photographic film doesn’t necessarily works in the case of a digital sensor with a RGB filter over it. No wonder we see some problems with flares (at all focal lengths) similar to those shown in the pictures below.
