Macro lenses with this type of focal length don’t usually have problems with distortion. The Nikkor AF-S DX Micro 85 mm f/3.5G ED VR is not an exception to this rule because our measurements showed slight barrel distortion, amounting to –0.47%. Such a level will be very difficult to notice in real life photos.
