Lens review

Nikon Nikkor AF-S 24-70 mm f/2.8G ED

2 April 2011
Arkadiusz Olech

10. Autofocus

As it befits a lens for demanding photojournalists the Nikkor was equipped with an ultrasonic SWM motor. Its work is really beyond reproach – it is silent, as quick as lightning and, what’s the most important thing, faultless. In studio conditions the lens missed in less than 2% of shots. There was also no back or front focus tendencies on both bodies – the Nikon D200 and the D3x.
