10. Autofocus

The cooperation with the Samsung NX10 body is noiseless but moderately fast. Running through the whole distance scale and finding the right setting (with the oscillation characteristic for the contrast detection - based focuses) takes about 0.8 of a second.

The lens spreads its wings when you attach it to a newer body, equipped with a hybrid focusing system. In the case of a cooperation with the Samsung NX300 running through the whole distance scale and finding the right setting takes 0.4-0.5 of a second and it is already a result worth praising.

We also don’t have any reservations about the accuracy of the focusing mechanism when the lens is joined with the Samsung NX10. In that case the number of misses is minimal (1-2%). A bit more misfocuses we got while working with the NX300 but also in that case it would be difficult to really complain about anything.

We didn’t observe any front or back focus tendency either.
