9. Ghosting and flares

In the case of work against bright light you have to avoid one position: with the source of light almost precisely in the frame corner. It results in an intensive flare, no matter what aperture value you apply. Still moving the frame just a bit to the left or to the right, even if it means including bright sunlight in the frame, you can make all light artifacts disappear or at least reduce them significantly.
