Mitakon Speedmaster 85 mm f/1.2

10 July 2015
Arkadiusz Olech

9. Ghosting and flares

Although here you don’t see such a big slip-up as in the case of the Speedmaster 0.95/35 the Mitakon still has a lot to improve when it comes to the coatings, blackening and its internal construction. The flares are very noticeable, easy to catch no matter whether the sun is inside the frame and outside it. The latter situation might produce such strong artifacts that at some places the whole image becomes overexposed. A big minus in this category.
