Samyang AF 85 mm f/1.4 FE/RF

9. Ghosting and flares

The performance against bright light is a weak spot of the tested lens. We wouldn't be surprised if we caught light artefacts with the sun positioned inside the frame or close to its corner. Still, in the case of the Samyang. you can catch flares even when the source of bright light is moved far away from the frame.

That's why, while shooting portraits or capturing the whole silhouete, you have to pay close attention to backlight; in fact it would be the best to keep the hood on practically all the time.
