6. Distortion

On the smaller APS-C sensor distortion shouldn't bother you at all. At the 28 mm focal length it reaches a moderate level of −1.59%, and at 35 mm it decreases to −0.48%. With the increase of the focal length deformations change from barrel into pincushion type. At 50 mm they reach +0.48% and at 75 mm you can observe a further increase – this time to a value of +0.73%.

Noticeably more problems, observed at both ends of the focal range to boot, you get on full frame. At the widest angle of view barrel defomrations reach −2.53%, and at 35 mm they decrease to a value of −0.56%. After the change of the sign distortion increases very quickly - at 50 mm it reaches already +1.45%, and at 75 mm it rises further to +1.83%.
