Nikon Nikkor Z 50 mm f/1.2 S

9. Ghosting and flares

The construction of the Sony 1.2/50 fared well in the category of performance against bright light. In fact problems appeared in just one situation, connected to a very specific position of the source of bright light. The Nikkor wasn't that efficient – slight reflections and contrast decrease can be noticed already at the maximum relative aperture and problems increase on stopping down.

In such a situation it's easy to catch light artifacts when the sun is inside the frame; even if you move it far away you still can notice slight discolouration in the opposite corner of the photo.
