Fujifilm Fujinon XF 23 mm f/1.4 R LM WR

10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the Fujinon 1.4/23 combined with the Fujifilm X-T2 is very silent - you only hear a quiet whirr of the mechanism. Its speed can be called very reasonable too – running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes about 0.5 of a second, no matter from what end you start.

When it comes to accuracy, the Fujinon performed without any glitch both in the studio and outside, never causing us any problems.

The photo below shows that the lens has a very slight DOF shift tendency, moving it towards greater distances. The problem is hardly bothersome, though, because the proper object is still situated within DOF range; apart from that the photo was taken near the minimum focusing distance so in the most difficult combination of parameters.
