In 2008 on PMA fair, Nikon presented a very interesting lens - Nikkor AF-S DX 16-85 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. It has an universal focal length range including wide angle, and it is equipped with a 2nd generation vibration reduction system (VRII), and an ultrasonic SWM motor. We've decided to take a closer look at this lens and we would like to present our opinion about it. Enjoy!

When we say “the most interesting” we don’t mean “the biggest” or “the most universal” but precisely the most interesting because of a wide range of prime lenses with uncharacteristic parameters. Samyang 14 mm f/2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical - new ultra-wide lens for full frame cameras was introduced two days ago. Today we had opportunity to shoot some images with this lens mounted on Nikon D3x camera. Enjoy!

Falcon 14 mm f/2.8 ED Asph. IF has just arrived to us, so we were able to take some sample shots. The pictures presented below are taken with Canon EOS 20D. We will show full frame photos as soon as possible.

Thanks to Sony Poland we have opportunity to show the gallery containing 18 sample images from the Sony Alpha DSLR-A850. The samples were shot with Sony 50 mm f/1.4 lens. All pictures were taken with noise reduction off and lowest level of sharpening.

Lenses of the 70-200 mm class with constant brightness of f/2.8 are classical equipment of professional reporters. It’s no wonder, then, that it’s quite a prestigious category and every optics producer tries to have in this class a high quality product. We had opportunity to play with final model of Leica M9 camera. Below you can find the comparison between Leica (firmware 0.922) and Canon EOS 1Ds MkIII, Nikon D3x and Sony A900 made on RAW files developed using dcraw software with zero sharpening.

The gallery containing sample images from new Leica M9 camera is show below. All shots were taken as JPEGs with sharpening and noise reduction set to Off. We used Summicron-M 28mm f/2 and Summicron-M 50mm f/2 lenses and the camera firmware was 0.922. The last row shows sample images sent by Leica.

One of the newest lenses in the Nikon's offer is an ultra-wide-angle model AF-S DX 10-24 mm f/3.5-4.5G ED, which is meant to work with small DX sensor cameras. It is worth to check its behavior in comparison to the older Nikkor 12-24 mm f/4.0 lens, and to its competitors. Enjoy reading our review then.

Today we have a pleasure to present the full review of Sigma 18-125 mm f/3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM. It is a very interesting lens with universal parameters, equipped with an image stabilization system and USM motor. Because of these characteristics and reasonable price we where asked many times to test this lens. Now You can see how it has managed in our test procedure. Enjoy!

Thanks to Sony Poland we have opportunity to show the gallery containing 30 sample images from the pre-production model of Sony Alpha A550 camera with 14 Mpix CMOS Exmor detector. The samples were shot with SAL 18-55 mm and SAL 70-400 mm lenses.

When the Sony Alfa 100 reflex camera was put on the market, an announcement was made that a new lens, the Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T* DT 16-80 mm f/3.5-4.5, would be produced soon and it would be a good substitute for the kit lens, prepared to cooperate with APS-C/DX sensors reflex cameras.
