Cons: * A little on the big side. ** AF is slower than sony lenses in difficult conditions, specially when shaking like on a horse per example !. ***There is a Slight sigma yellow cast.
Pros: * Very very light wheight. ** Image quality is Outstanding at every aperture, it is 95% equivalent to the Contax G 28mm lens I use too, which is well known to be one of the best if not the best lens in this range . (looses only on edges @f/2.8 and in détails ons red surfaces due to different coating-filtering i think). *** AF is hésitating somtimes but very precise, and relatively fast in normal conditions even relatively low light, always in focus where I want, impressive. (I'm coming from a Canon 1DIII + L system) .
Summary: Used on A NEX-5n It is way more than recommended, you must have it, no questions to be asked ! also to note 3 years warrenty of the lens.
