Nikon Nikkor AF 20 mm f/2.8D

6. Distortion

If either the resolution or chromatic aberration failed to convince us, perhaps low distortion will be the argument for buying the Nikkor 2.8/20 mm? Getting down to the facts immediately we can say that the tested lens showed quite significant barrel distortion which level we measured as –2.7%. It is noticeably worse than in the case of the Canon 2.8/20, tested by us previously, which had the level of distortion of –1.5%.
