5. Chromatic aberration

The photo below shows clearly that the tested lens doesn’t have any problems concerning the longitudinal chromatic aberration but “kit” lenses with such parameters rarely have any problems with it.

The lateral chromatic aberration is quite another story. Its results at particular focal lengths are shown on a graph below.

At the shortest focal lengths the performance is completely unacceptable. Values above 0.2% are really very high and very bothersome in photos. Fortunately on longer focal lengths this aberration is moderate; still, it never descends to a low level.
