Canon EF 35 mm f/1.4L USM, as befits a professional top range lens, is equipped with a quick, silent ultrasonic motor. It is exactly as it should be – it works noiselessly and with lightning speed as it needs less than 0.5 second to travel from the minimum focus to infinity.

The accuracy is also very good. In the studio we got a 4% margin of error on both bodies. What’s interesting, we noticed a very slight but nonetheless perceptible tendency to frontfocus by f/1.4.
