1. Introduction

The last EF-S lens, designed for a small APS-C sensor, that’s left for our tests, is Canon EF-S 60 mm f/2.8 Macro USM. It’s an instrument which, on small sensors, was to be the equivalent of a classic and already tested by us “hundred”, so the EF 100 mm f/2.8 Macro USM model.

Due to the fact that we’re dealing with a macro lens, its maximum aperture may not be impressive, but will certainly be enough for making decent portraits. All the more so because good macro lenses perform stunningly even being wide open. Is it so in the case of Canon EF-S 60 mm f/2.8 Macro? We’re inviting you to read the further chapters.
