Sigma 18-200 mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS

10. Autofocus

I’ve got a feeling that many Optyczne.pl Readers, like the author of this test, expected with apprehension this category results. Sigmas’ autofocus system problems on Canon bodies are widely known. Here we were very nicely surprised, though, because the Sigma’s 18-200 mm OS autofocus work is very decent. First of all, the lens doesn’t miss very often ( we had just 6% of misses in the studio conditions) and it doesn’t have any back or front focus tendencies. The speed of work and the noise level are perhaps not on a par with HSM mechanisms but an average amateur photographer shouldn’t have any serious reservations either.
