Sony E 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS

9. Ghosting and flares

When it comes to flares, the Sony E 18–55 f/3.5–5.6 OSS fails spectacularly in this category. Looking for more and more interesting artifacts when working against bright light might become a sport in itself. The situation is bad at every focal length and stopping down or up the aperture changes very little. The flares are especially dramatic if the sun happens to be right on the edge of the frame.
