Although the autofocus of the tested lens belongs to these „buzzing” devices and is quite loud to boot, it works very quickly on the K-5. Running through the scale takes just 0.2-0.3 of a second and it is one of the best results in this category we have measured so far.

The focusing mechanism didn’t have any problems with accuracy either. Perhaps the result wasn’t ideal but 5% of misses in studio conditions is not a reason to complain, especially if you take into account the price of the lens and the lack of back or front focus tendencies.
