The two most popular verifocal lenses – and most wanted by photo amateurs – are those with 55-200 mm and 70/100-300 mm parameters. As a result, all manufacturers have been trying to sell a variety of such lenses. The first of the aforementioned groups has been thoroughly tested. Now it is time for the second group.

When we look closely at Canon’s products we can see that the product choice, especially in the second category, is quite big. The list below includes Canon lenses in the aforementioned parameter category that are available on the market. We sorted them in decreasing price order.

  • Canon EF 90-300 mm f/4.5-5.6
  • Canon EF 90-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 USM
  • Canon EF 75-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 III
  • Canon EF 75-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 III USM
  • Canon EF 100-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 USM
  • Canon EF 70-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM
  • Canon EF 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

We have quite a few lenses to test and the first one is the 100-300 mm model, which because of its smallest zoom has the greatest chances to achieve good test scores.
