Samsung NX 60 mm f/2.8 Macro ED OIS SSA

9. Ghosting and flares

In the name of its lens Samsung didn’t boast about any special anti-reflection coatings and it seems there was really nothing to boast about. At the maximum relative aperture you can catch a huge flare in the shape of a quarter of a circle, even if the Sun is positioned outside the frame corner. After stopping down the flare turns into a gleam of lower intensity but it runs diagonally through the frame. If the Sun happens to be within the frame you get a whole series of greenish artifacts. To sum up the performance in this category should be assessed negatively.
