9. Ghosting and flares

Work against bright light of the tested lens can hardly be called good. Almost always you can catch glare, no matter what aperture you use and what is the position of the source of light. What’s more, even if the sun is outside the frame you can still catch some flares in your photos which overexpose the whole image. The situation is hardly as tragic as that of the Tokina 11-16 mm f/2.8, which results in this category were truly horrible, but it is also nothing to be pleased about. It’s a pity the Samyang didn’t follow the steps of the Sigma 10-20 mm which showed that even with significant angles of view you can also guarantee good performance against bright light.
