1. Introduction

So far the Sigma company has been the last to present a lens with focal length ranging from 16-18 mm to 300 mm. They were slower than Nikon, with their two 18-300 mm models, and Tamron, with the 16-300 mm instrument. Still Sigma has proven time and again that they are not afraid to compete with more expensive rivals because the chances of them winning are not poor at all. We were very curious how the 18-300 mm lens would compare so as soon as the first specimen became available in Poland we ordered one for our test.

At this point we would like to thank both the Sigma Corporation headquarters and its Polish subsidiary, the Sigma ProCentrum for a speedy delivery of the final specimen of the tested lens.
