Despite a huge number of optical elements the Fujinon 100-400 mm deals with bright light in a sensible way. Of course it’s far from a perfect performance – such features as flares, ghosting and overall contrast decrease are easy to spot. Still it must be emphasized that the situation in photos still looks better than the respective performance of the Canon EF 100–400 mm f/4.5–5.6L IS II USM and the Nikkor AF-S 80–400 mm f/4.5–5.6G ED VR.
