In the chart below we show distortion results of different fast full frame 85 mm lenses, tested by us so far.

As you see, all Sony rivals listed in the chart show slight barrel distortion. The Sony 1.4/85 GM is an exception to that rule with slight pincushion. In absolute terms the Sony fares the worst of all but you shouldn’t complain too much – the results of 0.3-0.6% are practically imperceptible.
