7. Coma, astigmatism and bokeh

Both the Fujinon XF 23 mm f/1.4 R, and the Fujinon XF 35 mm f/2 R WR didn’t correct coma well. A similar performance can be observed in the case of the XF 23 mm f/2 R WR model. The coma is quite distinct but if you look closely you have to admit that out of all Fujinon lenses, mentioned above, its level is the lowest.

The astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 values, amounted to 5.7%. It is a moderate level so we have no objections in this category.

Defocused circles of light look worse than those of the Fujinons 1.4/23 and 2/35 for a change. There are more onion rings and there’s a distinct rim too. You won’t have problems with noticing mechanical vignetting either.
