Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted to 6.6%, a value we deem to be moderate. What’s interesting, after attaching the teleconverter to the lens it didn’t increase, remaining exactly 6.6%.
Defocused circles of light aren’t perhaps perfect but it’s due to the DO technology which can generate a lighter ‘bullet point’ and circular rings. Also the mechanical vignetting makes itself felt a bit.
