In the case of such a simple optical construction, with just 5 groups and 10 air-to-glass surfaces, the performance against bright light is a perfect test of the quality and diligence of the producer along with technologies they used. If the lens was perfectly blackened and baffled inside and equipped with the best anti-reflective coatings the performance of the Kamlan should be flawless.
Photos below show that such an ideal performance is just a dream. The tested lens is perhaps not completely hopeless in this category but its results might only be called worse than medium. The fact that you can catch flares which partially overexpose your frame even if the sun is situated far away from the frame is especially painful.
