Both the Zeiss Otus 1.4/28 and the Nikkor AF-S 1.4/28G fared very well when it comes to the performance against bright light so we were the more saddened when we saw the Sigma’s results. Near the maximum relative aperture the situation is perhaps quite good but it worsens on stopping down. What’s more, even when the sun is situated far away from the frame you can still catch light artefacts in photos and momentarily they are quite distinct.
