Samyang AF 85 mm f/1.4 FE/RF

6. Distortion

Full frame 85 mm lenses rarely experience any distortion-related problems but the Samyang AF 85 mm f/1.4 FE deals with that aberration especially well. On the smaller APS-C sensor we got a result of +0.06% which means that, within the margin of error, the distortion amounts to zero. On full frame its value increased to +0.20% but it is also a level which practically might be called zero. Anyway distortion will be completely invisible in real life photos.

The Sony FE 85 mm f/1.4 GM in this category also performed very well but its official results were a bit higher:+0.28% and +0.58% respectively for APS-C and FF sensors.
