The Tamron SP 1.4/35 shows slight barrel distortion of −0.47% on the APS-C/DX sensor and a bit higher level, that of −1.20%, on full frame. These are sensibly good results but it must be said that the Sigma A 35 mm f/1.4 DG HSM and the Canon EF 35 mm f/1.4L II USM fared a bit better in this category. For a change you might remind yourself that the Tamron outdistanced also significantly more expensive rivals like the Nikkor 1.4/35G or the Zeiss Distagon 1.4/35.
