When it comes to the performance against bright light the Voigtlander Nokton 50 mm f/1.2 Aspherical performs moderately well. Photos taken near the maximum relative aperture look sensible but on more significant stopping down the number and intensity of light artifacts and flares increases noticeably. When you put the sun close to the frame corner you can notice distinct rays of light, going diagonally across the frame. They can spoil your image quite efficiently.
