10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the tested lens joined with the X-T2 camera is noiseless and very quick. Running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes about 0.2-0.3 of a second, an excellent result. The performance from the minimum focusing distance to infinity is in fact flawless but the other way round the mechanism sometimes wavers; still even then the focusing time doesn't exceed 0.4 of a second so, overall, we have no reservations in this area.

Because of their significant depth of field, wide-angle lenses more often than not don't experience any autofocus problems; the Fujinon 1.4/18 is not an exception here. The focusing mechanism never missed no matter whether we worked in the studio or outside.

We also didn't notice any significant front or back focus tendencies.
